We met through the wonderful South West wedding world, always finding ourselves working the same weddings as we obviously attract similar couples who like our vibe.
Just two creatives chasing meaningful connection, incredible storytelling experiences and a bit of South West magic!
What started as professional collaboration quickly turned into an easy friendship built on shared values: authenticity, laughter, and a deep love and respect for what we do.
Nikki brings the words, feels and legal components, Rowan brings the lens, uber relaxed nature and creative eye, and together we found that our energy just clicked.
We both believe in love stories that feel real, authentic and are based on mutual adoration, and love those perfectly relaxed, joy filled elopements where you kick off your shoes, breathe in the ocean air, and let the moment unfold naturally.
Now, through Effortlessly Wed, we combine our creative crafts to create elopements for engaged couples that are beautifully intimate, calm, and full of heart. It’s not just about saying “I do” it’s about creating a moment that feels perfectly you through thoughful consideration, years of expertise and professionalism and forming real connections along the way to getting you married.
Nikki - The heart behind Love Empire
Vibrant, warm, and a huge love story enthusiast, Nikki is your celebrant who turns your marriage ceremony into a memorable moment you and your wedding guests will never forget.
Based in Busselton along the serene coast of Geographe Bay with her two teenage boys, she’s a creative writer, engaging storyteller, professional party starter, fashion lover, is obsessed with her two darling dachshunds and always brings a familar sense of calm, relaxation and good vibes into the ceremony space and elopement love bubble on your wedding day.
After marrying over 430 couples across Australia, expanded her brand in 2022 and had 5 celebrants working under her brand in 2025, Nikki’s now back to her roots crafting heartfelt, laughter filled ceremonies as a solo celebrant. Whether it’s an intimate elopement by the ocean or a mountain top “I do” she brings her signature mix of calm energy, authenticity, and sparkle to every moment on your wedding day.
As the founder of Love Empire and Effortlessly Wed, Nikki’s been featured in Hello May, Polka Dot Wedding, The Aisle, and collaborated writing pieces with From This Day Magazine, but her real pride lies in the personal connections she builds with each engaged couple and wedding vendor she meets and works with.

There’s something magnetic about the way Rowan moves through a wedding day with calm energy, quiet confidence, and that effortless mix of South West cool and feeling like a friend. He’s the guy who makes you laugh, fixes your boutonnière without a fuss, and somehow captures the most breathtaking, honest moments without you even noticing.
A local legend in the Margaret River region, Rowan is known for his soft light elegance, soulful, storytelling style photography, and has an uncanny ability to make people feel completely at ease in front of the camera. With hundreds of weddings behind him, his passion for capturing love on couples wedding days hasn’t dimmed, it’s only evolved! Each celebration still feels like the first spark that ignited his journey into wedding photography years ago.
For Rowan, photography isn’t about posing or perfection it’s about truth. It’s the stolen glances, the salt in the air, the wind catching your dress, the heartbeat before the kiss. He chases that raw, fleeting magic and turns it into timeless art.
